Families First Awards

At the Family First NI Winter Awards in the Sligo Park Hotel on Saturday night, RINKA was titled the Best After School Activity Provider and CEO, Sarah Gillespie, was there to accept the award. ‘This is definitely a team win. Our network of instructors across the country have a positive influence on the children they teach on a daily basis and this award reflects their hard work and efforts. They are spreading the message of the importance of fitness for kids and this award helps us to get that message heard further’ said Sarah.

RINKA classes are all-inclusive and age appropriate and focus on making fitness fun for all. We strive to offer alternatives to mainstream sports, ensuring we are helping all kids reach their physical activity requirements and not just those who love sport already. Each term we focus on different aspects of our curriculum and each class ranges in activity from high-energy games and athletic skills to gymnastic skills and dance and movement. Classes ensure that your child is introduced to a range of skills and experiences. Regardless of the week however, you can be guaranteed that each and every class is full of positivity and happy vibes!

RINKA now has 24 branches across Ireland and each instructor works hard to bring the fun-filled, positive teaching approach to their local area.

‘Winning awards like this is so important and not only in terms of recognition for our work, but because it helps us spread the message of the importance of getting kids healthy and active. There is plenty of discussion in the media regarding childhood obesity but not enough about solutions. The more we can talk about positive action the better’ added Sarah.
