Hannah Carroll | My Story

Hannah is 7 years of age. At the age of 2 months Hannah was diagnosed with pulmonary atericia vsd and mapacs. The main artery to Hannah’s heart didn’t work but she was determined to live so her body made 5 arterys (mapacs). Hannah had 2 open heart surgeries, one lasting 9 hours long where surgeons inserted a cows vein into Hannah’s main artery… as Hannah’s arteries are man-made she undergoes surgery every 12 to 18 months to widen and stretch them. Hannah’s cows vein will have to be replaced soon as she is outgrowing the one she has. Hannah spends a lot of time in hospital but never complains. She is a fun loving girls who just smiles through it all.
